Who we are
Women's Welfare (WWC) is a student-led organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and uplifting young women through education, service, leadership, advocacy, and community.
Founded at Los Osos High School, WWC gives students a space to learn about issues affecting women, have meaningful conversations, develop leadership skills, serve their communities, and turn awareness into action.
WWC is more than a club. It is a student-led movement designed to turn education and compassion into action.
What we do
Every chapter transforms what members learn into measurable community impact.
Education & awareness
Interactive meetings and workshops on monthly topics affecting women, from health and wellness to leadership and women's rights.
Community service
Hygiene kits, postpartum care kits, shelter drives, Career Closet drives, and other projects for women and girls.
Guest speakers & mentorship
Physicians, attorneys, entrepreneurs, first responders, and other professionals who educate and mentor members.
Fundraising
Fundraisers tied to each chapter's current initiative or the community organization it supports.
Partnerships
Collaborations with school organizations like NHS, CSF, and HOSA, and with shelters, hospitals, and nonprofits.
Advocacy
Open conversations that break stigmas and address inequalities affecting women locally and globally.
The Monthly Spotlight
Each month, chapters follow a topic related to women's health, leadership, wellness, education, or advocacy.
The topic guides that month's educational meeting, social media awareness, interactive activity, service project, and collaboration, with a fundraiser or guest speaker when appropriate.
